Parenthood is an all-encompassing, lifelong commitment. Once you become a parent, that role remains a constant, even when you’re not with your children or when they’ve grown up. It’s natural to experience occasional emotional fatigue, which doesn’t negatively affect your parenting abilities.

Even the most devoted parents occasionally feel drained, both physically and emotionally. Sometimes, during less cheerful moments, parents may resent their role, compelled to maintain a facade of amiability with their children.
