Allan Houston: NBA Star and Arthritis Advocate

Allan Houston, an NBA luminary, transitioned to becoming the general manager of the Westchester Knicks following his retirement due to chronic arthritis. He has since dedicated substantial efforts to raising awareness.

Houston actively participated in the Endo Pharmaceuticals’ 2011 “Apply Yourself!” campaign. Reflecting on his retirement, he remarked, “I invested my utmost to return and conclude my career on my terms. However, the injury prevented that outcome. It’s the appropriate juncture for me to move forward.”
