16. Using Non-Kitchen Supplies

While most people get into the store to purchase organizers for their homes, they stick to the aisles that refer to the room where they work. They abandon their quest and go elsewhere or order online if they can’t find what they need in the kitchen organizing aisle, for example. You can take organizers from any area aisle in the store and use them for any task in your home. For instance, I used vintage vanity or bathroom containers to organize my art supplies. You can even check the Dollar Tree for the organizer boxes.

This can help you reuse organizational items you already have around the house. There may be a basket, plastic container, jar, or container somewhere filled with things that can be easily given away or left elsewhere. E.g., I have a decorated wooden box in my bedroom that I use to store my tarot card set, but it would make a better recipe box. Don’t feel apprehensive about shopping at a thrift store. It doesn’t matter if the previous owner used the objects in a particular way as long as they serve the function you’re searching for.
