Cleaning up, drying your hands, using as pot holders, and cooking all require tea towels and cheesecloth in the kitchen. It’s not uncommon for some people to need several towels during the preparation of a single meal. Therefore, this is particularly true if you drop one on the floor, spill something, or need to cover several pots at the same time. So it’s no surprise that experienced home chefs amass a sizable array of kitchen towels. The only problem is that some towels can get stuck at the bottom of a pile after years of collecting.

Simply because your holiday or seasonal towels are tucked away in a drawer, you can forget to replace them. It’s also possible that there are ratty towels that need to be made into rags. Folding them in the Marie Kondo method is an excellent solution for this dilemma. Ensure you can see the color and design of the towel’s edge, which will help you pick the towel you like. If you have a thinner cabinet, you could stack them on top of each other, revealing just enough color.
