13. Rescue is very close
The following story is about the irresponsibility of scout leaders and parents when allowing children to play on a firefighter’s stand.
“It happened to my son when he was at a Boy Scout meeting at the age of 6 near the fire station. Firefighters are drying their tubes, called racks. One day the little scouts climbed on those supports, and my son’s leg slipped between the bars and got stuck. The firefighters had to use Jaws of Life on their racks to free my child.” A lot of adults ignore the kids and let this happen. At least, they don’t have to go far to save the child!
