Kill Or Be Killed

In a gruesome episode during the Hatfield-McCoy feud, the Hatfields orchestrated the siege of Randolph McCoy’s home, who was the leader of the McCoy clan. They set the cabin ablaze, resulting in the tragic death of his two children and causing severe injuries to his wife. Rather than signaling the end of the feud, this horrific event marked just the beginning of another chapter in their ongoing war. The McCoys swiftly retaliated by cornering the Hatfields in a nearby creek in a confrontation later known as “The Battle of Grapevine Creek.” During this battle, they killed and captured several Hatfields.

The Hatfield-McCoy feud continued to escalate, fueled by a relentless cycle of vengeance and retribution, resulting in further bloodshed and deepening animosity between the two families.
