Olga Versus The Drevlians

Olga’s determination to avenge her husband’s murder drove her to resolutely oppose the Drevlians, the very people responsible for his death. She refused to allow those who had committed such a heinous act to dictate her fate or rule over the region. In response to King Mal’s attempts to persuade her to accept his proposal, Olga displayed a chilling and unwavering resolve. She calmly ordered the execution of the twenty-man delegation sent by Mal, having them buried alive.

Olga’s thirst for retribution showed no signs of relenting. She decided to deceive the Drevlians by telling them that she would accept their proposal to marry their king. However, she set a cunning trap in motion, insisting Mal send his leaders to accompany her to his palace. Upon their arrival, Olga orchestrated a ruthless act of revenge by trapping them in a bathhouse and setting it ablaze, a stark testament to her unyielding anger and determination.
