3. Fallingwater
Widely known as the most beautiful work by Frank Lloyd Wright, Fallingwater is an idyllic house located in Mill Run, Pennsylvania. As its names suggested, the place was partially built on a waterfall. This building is one of Wright’s three buildings designed by him in his late sixties. Fallingwater was part of Wright’s revival as one of the architectural giants in the late 1930s.
This property is famous for its substantial use of horizontal and vertical lines. To create a dynamic structure, Wright had taken use of the beautiful natural surroundings of the house. In this design, he also takes a lot of inspiration from Japanese architecture. In 1991, the American Institute of Architects selected Fallingwater as the best American architecture of all time”.
