Travis Displays Signs of Restlessness
In the late afternoon, Sandy began to feel anxious as she had an upcoming appointment with a friend. While she was cleaning Travis’s room, he managed to grab the keys and let himself out into the yard. Travis appeared somewhat irritated that day, disinterested in watching TV following his lunch of fish, chips, and ice cream cake. Concerned about his mood, Sandy administered a Xanax by putting it in his tea that afternoon.
Sandy was alarmed and informed Charla that Travis was outside near the cars. Travis wanted to go for a drive and ignored Sandy’s calls to come back inside. Charla promptly responded to the situation, arriving at approximately 3:40 p.m. While approaching Travis, she held his Elmo doll in her hands. As she neared him from about 35 feet, Travis swiftly moved toward her using a knuckle-running motion.
