Thai School Children Wear Uniforms Throughout Their Education
In certain cultures, schoolchildren wear uniforms until they complete high school; in others, uniforms are not mandatory. In Thailand, however, it is customary for schoolchildren from preschool to university to wear uniforms.
Thai school children wear uniforms throughout their academic journey. As they progress through different stages of education, boys adapt their uniforms by changing the color of their shorts and trousers. Similarly, girls modify their attire by adding a ribbon and tucking in their shirts as they age. Even at the university level, the uniform style remains consistent with what is worn in elementary and secondary schools. For boys, this means black trousers, a white shirt, and a tie, while girls wear a pleated skirt and blouse.
