27. For All, a Clutter Catch-All

Catch-alls are ideal for storing small items, so they don’t get lost in the house. It seems to be a fantastic idea. However, people don’t know that it turns into a catch-all for all, clogging up the room more than it needs to be. How can you keep track of where everything is if you’re adding everything to these? You’ll also end up getting a lot of dust in these catch-alls if you don’t take good care of them, which could cause harm to whatever is inside.

These are a fantastic concept, but only if they are used correctly and not as a “junk box.” If you like this type of object in your home, use several of them for different purposes. For example, on your dressing table, you might have one dedicated to your jewelry. It will help you stay organized in that area of your life. As you enter your home, you could place one on your entry table. That’s a perfect place to keep your keys and sunglasses. Please don’t leave your wallet, receipts, or other valuables here; it will quickly devolve into chaos. A catch-all is a perfect idea to have in your home as long as it serves a reason.
