Secret Notebook
In 1956, Marilyn Monroe and her then-husband, playwright Arthur Miller, arrived in London to work on the film “The Prince And The Showgirl.” However, this period marked a tumultuous time in Marilyn’s life. During their stay, Marilyn stumbled upon Arthur’s secret notebook, where he had detailed his profound disappointment with his new wife.
Their marriage began to unravel, and the final blow came when Arthur Miller wrote the character of Roslyn specifically for Marilyn in the film “The Misfits.” Marilyn found the character too personal, and as the film neared completion, their marriage crumbled irreparably.
