Paint on the primary color to flow antique wood vibe into your room

Step 8: Getting dressed on the primary color

Next, you will start painting your furniture. You will need to paint the entire piece with a thick layer of the chosen primary color. The thinner your coating, the easier the rest of the process will be. Therefore, don’t worry about making it too thin, but you want to see the color you have chosen. Be gentle, as this will help your antiques to paint well.

If you decide to use milky paint or chalk paint, you will need to use a wax finish to paint. If you choose to go with a matte finish, you won’t need to worry about a wax finish. Everything reflects on whether or not you want to use a primer, because, like other paints, flat paint does not need a primer. After painting the furniture, you need to let it rest for 24 hours to dry completely to make an antique wood vibe.
