Step 2: Get your stuff together

Once you have your belongings, you will need to organize your belongings together. You will need to know how much paint, oil, stains, and paint you will need. Larger pieces will require more of these items than smaller pieces. It’s not easy to understand how much of each one you need but to make sure you don’t have to take another trip to the store, and it’s best to make sure you have enough.

Walk around your home before you go to the store with your shopping list, and see what you have. The supplies you need to gather to complete this project include sanding blocks containing 150-grit and 220-grit, a paintbrush, and a clean rag. It would help if you also chose chalk paint, matte paint, milk paint and walnut paint, oil, a gel stain, or brown paint. Make sure you write down everything you don’t have at home, so you go on a trip to the store. It is the next step to flow an antique wood vibe into your room.
