The Hindus and Astrology
Hindus also had their own zodiac variant. It has been determined that the Greek and Hindu icons in astrology are the same, while the languages are distinctly different. It shows that the two communities met regularly and freely shared opinions. While this is one theory, another suggests that the Sumerians brought the Hindus to the science of astrology, not the Greeks. This is supported by the presence in ancient texts, such as the Rg Veda and Mahabharata, of references to the zodiac, which predate Greek authorities.
